5779 — Behar: The Jubilee Year: A Collective Restart

Posted by Meir Schweiger on May 12, 2019
Topics: Pardes from Jerusalem, Torah, Vayikra (Leviticus), Behar

We are all familiar with the inscription on the Liberty Bell which says: “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the Inhabitants.” This line, in fact, is taken from the opening section of our parsha, which outlines the laws of the jubilee year. In this podcast, Rabbi Meir Schweiger discusses the laws of the jubilee year, examines their parallels and explores their deeper meanings.
