The Moral Economy: A Conference on Law, Economics and Religion. This special one-day program addressed some of the most compelling issues of economic justice confronting society today, with a special focus on the relationship between American law and the world’s great religious traditions. Six panel discussions were led by leading scholars, professors and bankruptcy judges including Pardes faculty members Rabba Yaffa Epstein and Rabbi Dr. Levi Cooper and several Pardes alumni, Dr. Deborah Barer, Dr. Noah Benjamin Bickart, Rabbi William Friedman and Dr. Jenny Labendz.
