New medical technologies present wonderful possibilities to solve problems. On the other hand they raise ethical, legal and social questions. In our session, we will examine how these issues are grappled with and answered in the modern State of Israel.
This session was given by Rabbi Gideon Weitzman as part of the Pardes Executive Learning Seminar, Summer 2017.
Rabbi Gideon Weitzman is director of the Puah Institute, rabbi of the Merkaz Modiin Synagogue in Modiin, and visiting associate principal in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He writes a weekly column in the Torah Tidbits on medical ethics and has published three books on the philosophy of Rav Kook.
