Chapter 27 describes how the Israelites are to stage a mass gathering, a covenantal ceremony at Mount Eval in Canaan. This ceremony mirrors the covenant of Sinai. Why do we need a second Sinai? Might we all be in need of periodically renewing our vital commitments to our deepest values? Rabbi Alex Israel discusses.
