Just before we sign off from this series, the Maggid of Melbourne has a surprising postscript to share, thanks to his students in Tel Aviv University’s Law Faculty. Wow!

Whether or not you are fortunate to be physically present in our Beit Midrash this summer, join us for a Shot of Summer Torah. The Maggid of Melbourne, Levi Cooper, will take you on a quest to discover two forgotten mitzvot: Biyur Maasrot – ensuring that all tithes have been distributed (Deuteronomy 14:28-29), and Viduy Maaser – the celebratory declaration that this has been done (Deuteronomy 26:12-15). From the Bible, on to the Rabbis, and right through to today. There is only one more thing to say: TO THE BEIT MIDRASH!
