Class description: Certain classical Jewish texts, read superficially, would make us believe that life is predictable. However, we all know that life is full of surprises, for better and for worse. (Who could have imagined our reality 18 months ago today?) We will examine some traditional Jewish approaches to the many uncertainties that life has in store for us, which have helped us navigate our uncertain world for millennia.
