In this episode Neima Novetsky discusses the episode of Moses and Zipporah circumcising their son–Exodus 4:18-26 in Parashat Shmot. One of the most enigmatic stories in Torah is that of Moses at the lodging place. Hashem desires to kill Moses or his son for an unknown reason but the death is averted due to circumcision of the son. This podcast will look at some of the different understandings of the story and what they reveal about Moses’ character.
