In this week’s Parsha, the Jewish people are given a very detailed code of social laws, which begin with the laws governing a Hebrew slave. In this podcast, we will examine how the Torah allows for the institution of a Hebrew slave and, at the same time, discourages and “re-brands” it. We will conclude with the relevance of these laws to contemporary society. You can also download the source sheet for this podcast.
