This class explores the ongoing story of the Sabbatean movement and its role in eroding rabbinic authority in the early modern era. Along with an analysis of historical factors, hear the story of Sabbatean prophet Avraham Cardoso, R’ Yehudah Hachasid and the Ramchal.
