Course Description: Together we will explore the third and fourth chapters of tractate Rosh Hashana. These chapters deal primarily with defining the shofar, how it is blown, and how it operates as a tool of prayer and inspiration. The blowing of the shofar stands as the defining feature of how we celebrate the New Year and mark our sense of reflection about the past and hopes for our future.
